Elstree Productions

This task asked us to research facts about limelight including the source material, production dates and then an investigation into one of the songs from the performance list.

1-Skl productions at Elstree

The school productions at Elstree UTC college once started as the name 'Flicks'. Their inspiration behind that name was, all of the songs they would do within that one production would of been songs from films. Unfortunately there was a problem with the space between the letters on the logo that was being advertised looked as if the letters had spelt "F**CKS". The following year they had changed the name of the production to 'JukeBox' and decided to only do songs from Jukebox movies/classics.

The last and final name they had chosen was Limelight which was in 2017, therefore called it "Limelight'17", then every year since then has been "Limelight'18" then "Limelight'19". The name symbolises that every student in the show will have the lime light on them to embrace each student's talent.

Other productions UTC has produced:

-Christmas concerts for the past 4 years

-Battle Of The Bands

-Let the right one in

-We Will Rock U

-LOTF

-Macbeth

-DNA

-Much Ado

-Loserville

Interview questions

These are great questions to ask the actors in the show, although in some cases they may be appropriate for the production team, too. Therefore I asked the cast;

  1. What your favourite part of the show?

  2. Who’s your character?

  3. How is it working with your cast?

  4. How does it feel like to be a part of the show?

RECORD OF INVOLVEMENT

For this task, we were asked talk to people who are taking part in Limelight (staff or students) and find out what show numbers they are doing. Then we would had to choose one of the musicals they are taking a song from and do some research on it.
